For five years, we’ve showcased films that inspire action at the festival.
But climate action isn’t just a once-a-year moment—it’s urgent, it’s ongoing, and it needs momentum.

We need sustained action, which is why Film Club is back for its second edition—bigger, better, and in 9 cities.
Last year’s pilot in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Goa brought together 60+ members and a community of 450+ viewers.
This year, we're scaling up —and you can be a part of the community, the conversations and witness the impactful cinema.

COMMUNITY

The climate crisis is a monster, and action can’t wait for a lone crusader. Film Club is where people come together, not just to watch, but to connect, collaborate, and actually do something.
Who knows? You might find a co-creator, producer, podcast partner, or just someone who gets it.

CINEMA

Through our rigorous selection process we pick films that are Bold, Evocative, and Unforgettable. The mix for the film club includes national and international feature, short, and animated films.
Every film is technically sound, thematically sharp, and picked especially to start conversations.

CONVERSATION

Feeling stuck in climate frustration? Want a space to dig deeper? Film Club is a space for learning, unlearning, and challenging perspectives. And if you’re not the ‘jump-into-a-discussion’ type, no stress. We’ve got conversation starters, interactive exercises, and games to ease you in.

Who is the film club for?

Experiencing climate change firsthand? (Looking at you, Mumbai & Delhi residents with AQIs through the roof.)
Maybe you’re a film buff who loves dissecting every frame, a social butterfly drawn to like-minded conversations, or an introvert who prefers to sit back and take it all in.
Or hey, maybe you’re just here for the snacks — we respect that and you’re all welcome.

When are the screenings held?

Screenings will take place from April to September 2025, on the third Friday of every month (Except in August, when the screening is on the fourth Friday.), at nine vibrant venues across India.

DUTY OF CARE

"Duty of Care - The Climate Trials" is the inside story of Roger Cox, the lawyer who initiated ground-breaking legal actions against the Dutch government and oil giant Shell. The result: two landmark rulings that sent shockwaves through political offices and corporate boardrooms around the world, and led to a wave of international climate cases. This is a character-driven journey through the highs and lows of his trials, featuring a cast of creative lawyers, activists, and ordinary citizens pursuing what they see as the legal showdown of the century. Their story is set against interviews with world-leading experts on the principles of justice that can be applied to the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced.
