About Neekoee Foundation :
Neekoee Foundation started its work in the field of arts in 2004 and was formalised in 2016 in Ahmedabad, with an aim to expand and elevate the quality of the city’s cultural space.Since then we have hosted outstanding artists, performances, visual art exhibitions, theatre festivals, talks and interactions by eminenet artists and reached out to over ten thousand people through our programmes. About Cinema Jamaat :
Cinema Jamaat Film Club came into existence when a few friends from Other Theatre decided to come together to watch world cinema collectively. Care Earth Trust, established in the year 2000, is engaged in biodiversity conservation for human wellbeing through research, advocacy and capacity building. Since its inception, it has evolved to be an equal opportunity, non-discriminating organization with a pan India presence. In addition to assessing human impact on the environment, the organization recommends evidence based strategies and action for the mitigation of adverse impacts and increasing ecosystem resilience. About Rupayan Sansthan :
Rupayan Sansthan - An Institute of folklore, first of its type was established in 1960 by Padma Bhushan Shri Komal Kothari, an ethnomusicologist and folklorist, along with Padam Shree Vijaydan Detha, author of folk tales. Since 1960 rupayan sansthan is instrumental in researching, documenting, publishing and promoting folkloric studies and indigenous knowledge system of Rajasthan. Rupayan Sansthan have one of the richest collections of folkloristic material which includes audio visual archives on folklore and performing arts, documentaries, articles, books, journals, publications, manuscripts and digital images etc. Rupayan Sansthan has a wide collection of folk tales, anthropology, proverbs, musicology etc, more than 10,000 hrs of audio recording of folklore and 4000 hrs of video recording of various documentaries and movies on folklore. This reference material is helping in reviving and enriching the traditional knowledge system. Arna-Jharna: The Thar Desert Museum (an Ethnographic Museum) under the aegis of Rupayan Sansthan is in process of establishing from last one decade in village Moja Moklawas, 22km from Jodhpur city on Jaisalmer highway. The museum was envisioned by Padma Bhushan Late Shri Komal Kothari. Padam Bhusan Komal Kothari sets a Road map for an ethnographic museum of Rajasthan with prime object to explore and understand human efforts to sustain life based on utilizing natural resources from immediately surrounding by developing creative or productive social institution and finally pass on skill and knowledge to next generation. Today the museum proudly holds in its assets a world class broom exhibition, an indigenous puppetry collection and a variety of musical instruments drawn out from rich rural culture of Rajasthan. A large number of rural and urban school children, teachers, national and international researchers, scholars, rural and urban masses and caste musician communities of Rajasthan visit the museum and gain knowledge of thar desert culture.
