About Himal Prakriti :
Himal Prakriti - A Trust for Nature is a non-profit organization that was established in 2006 to promote nature conservation and sustainable livelihoods in the Indian Himalayan Region. The organization works to create synergies between mountain livelihoods and the natural resource base of the landscape through education, capacity building, research, and advocacy projects. The aim is to spread awareness and initiate discussions amongst people about environment and livelihood issues. Himal Prakriti also works on capacity building; to build the capacity, self-sufficiency and skill base of local communities. Himal Prakriti also conducts research on and advocates for environmental and livelihood issues.
